At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join the team in our Mexico City location.

The Role:Supervise the AP teams in Latam including the setting of clear goals and ensures all team members have sufficient regular 1:1 type meetings and performance feedback and share the regular updates to AP ManagerProper co-ordination with AP Associates to ensure all accounts payable processes delegations are operating efficiently, as per the agreed timelines and corporate policies and report the updates to AP ManagerTo assist the AP Manager & liaise with the AP teams to ensure timely completion of AP Month End closeAssist the AP Manager in recruitment of new hires & growth of the AP TeamTo assist the AP manager to complete the agreed targeted AP migrationSupervise and oversee the accounts payable processes for a portfolio of ICON legal entities ensuring compliance with corporate policies and payment deadlinesReport on and drive team metricsManage relationship with other departments and vendorsContinuous Improvement of Accounts Payable processes & growth of team efficiencyEscalation point for queriesManaging the resources effectivelyProvide cover for other team leads and/or team membersDrive the Process Improvement InitiativesEnsure that the accounts payable processes for the portfolio of ICON entities assigned are completed in accordance with the timelines agreed.Drive the Accounts Payable process efficiently.Provide support to the financial accounting team.Create a positive environment to the team.Delegate the responsibility to the team leadsCoach and mentor new and existing team leads to drive the process effectively.Ensure that all accounts payable processes are as efficient as possible, documented appropriately and SOX Compliant. Ensure no key control breaches occur.Supervise the payments process, support the cash flow forecasting process; prepare the aged listing and agreed metrics. Audit liaison and preparation.Conduct 1-1 with the team members

What you will need: Overall of 6 years of experience in the Accounts Payable role.Experience in leading a team would be added advantageHold a finance related degree or equivalentExperience of working in a multinational environmentProven track record of dealing with large volumesExcellent working knowledge of best practices with regard to all aspects of accounts payable, with experience of implementing/improving controls (ideally SOX) in a fast-moving environment.Experience of migrating processes to a centralized locations an advantage3 years plus exposure to the AP module of an ERP, preferably OracleAbility to coach and instruct other team members is key.Self starter, works well on own initiative.Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.Flexible, willing to take on new challenges.Excellent interpersonal skills and proficient in standard MS Office Applications
