  Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SeniorStaff Veterinarianfor ourSafety Assessmentsite located inReno, Nevada.

This positionis responsible for overseeing and performing veterinary procedures that support all studies. This position will also oversee all aspects of the animal care and use program.

The following are minimum requirements related to the SeniorStaff Veterinarianposition: Veterinary degree (D.V.M./V.M.D.) or international equivalent Minimum 5years experience in laboratory animal medicine required 2 years management experience preferred Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in at least 1 U.S. state required Ability to practice veterinary medicine in the work state highly desirable ACLAM eligibility or accreditation preferred Computer literacy, good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and guidelines that govern animal research, research conduct principles (GLP) and current methodology of laboratory animal medicine and management is important
