  Job Summary Charles River seeks to hire an Associate Director, Web Operations & Digital Strategy who will be responsible for developing and implementing the long-term plan to ensure an optimal user experience for our customer-facing website, www.criver.com. This position will drive web strategy by balancing data, technology, design, and content, in relation to customer and other stakeholder needs. This position will be responsible for managing, understanding, and driving success metrics (traffic, conversion, leads, revenue, customer satisfaction, and others) through both a quantitative and qualitative data-driven process and by partnering with an internal cross-functional global team and external agencies to execute. This position is ideally located near our corporate facility in Wilmington, MA, or remote anywhere in the U.S.

 

The following are the responsibilities of the Associate Director, Web Operations & Digital Strategy position: Develop holistic web strategy, prioritizing near and long-term opportunities based on current initiatives and performance across the user journey for both desktop and mobile experiences Oversee all web initiatives and ensure that they are implemented to support business strategies with an eye towards performance, conversion, and user satisfaction Leverage data analytics, personalization strategies, analytic tools, and automation to help increase revenue and profitability Manage a team comprised of Web Analytics, Personalization, SEO/SEM Project Management, and Content Management to create a cohesive and connected experience Collaborate with IT as criver.com Product Owner to drive strategy and execution in an Agile environment

  Job Qualifications

The following are the qualifications of the Associate Director, Web Operations & Digital Strategy position: 10+ years' experience in digital, including web, SEO/SEM, and digital marketing; with a proven track record in developing state-of-the-art website experiences Prior people management experience preferred Extensive knowledge of top trends and leading practices in digital and marketing technology to drive innovation Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated experience drawing insights and recommendations efficiently Creative thinker willing to test big ideas and apply learnings to future activities Knowledge of Agile practices, techniques, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) as it relates to Agile marketing and the web development life cycle Familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, Workfront) and digital experience tools (e.g., Dot, Medallia) Strong communication skills and the ability to problem solve and offer solutions
