Investigator Payment Specialist

Job Purpose:

The Payment Specialist is a contributor in the Payment Office, focused on delivering across their assigned tasks while further refining their expertise and competencies. They are typically responsible for average studies and an average size portfolio. They can effectively support and proactively projects and tasks as assigned with general supervision.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure accuracy and timely site payments for study portfolio.

• Keeps internal and external team members aware of site payment status and issues

• Authorize study setups before starting payments.

• Resolve second line helpdesk issues for assigned portfolio.

• Assist in the preparation of project status reports as needed.

• Works with IFA and project team to ensure appropriate funding prior to administering payments.

• Proactively participates in Investigator Payment Planning (IPP) Meetings, providing input to payment strategy planning for incoming studies.

Requirements:

- BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Life Sciences, alternatives considered based on experience.

- Strong proficiency in using Excel for spreadsheet analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.

- Prior experience in clinical operations, finance, or grant payment position (Level 2 & up)

- Above-average attention to detail.
