We are seeking an Lab Animal Technician for our Insourcing Solutions site located in Poolesville, MD.

In the LATI/Floater role you can do that by assisting in cagewash and animal care areas to ensure the health and well-being of all rodent and non-human primate species, as well as the integrity of the research.

What you will do! In the Lab Animal Technician/Floater role, you will be responsible for sanitizing, maintaining, and repairing caging materials, operating, and performing routine maintenance on cagewash/autoclave equipment and keeping cagewash and animal holding facilities clean and organized. In addition, you may be tasked with receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supplies, as well as preparing and submitting written records, charts, logs, or inventories. Additional duties may include assisting with animal care activities, such as health observations, maintenance, food consumption checks, and/or animal enrichment; as well as maintaining animal housing areas and environments. You may also work actively with customers to resolve requests, inquiries, complaints, and/or provide technical service.
Who are we looking for? A candidate that possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; some experience and/or training working with mechanical equipment preferred.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 – 21.00 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
