PPD is currently seeking an Associate/Director, Site Intelligence and Activation to provide strategic direction, leadership and management for the for the UK team.

Based in the UK, you will provide direct supervision to the SIA managers, you will be responsible for management, development, training and mentoring of these leaders who have oversight of PPD’s in country start up team.PPD takes great pride being focussed on the of time, quality, cost and supporting our client needs effectively.You should be able to demonstrate a connection to our ethos and drive our key objectives in country.

You will be responsible for;

Manages staff, which may include interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development

Assesses risks and provides recommendations for mitigation and/or resolution. Ensures successful execution of all deliverables within assigned project(s).

Ensures an effective alignment of teams within the global management team. Partners with the leadership team and internal stakeholders to ensure an effective integration at the country, regional and global levels.

Oversees the development and implementation of processes and policies for the group.

Leads strategic activities with customers and project teams to develop methods for effectively accelerating the overall site activation process.

Acts as liaison and escalation point for targeted key accounts regarding departmental services and deliverables.

Overall department management activities for an assigned area of focus including resourcing, utilization management, staff development and engagement, financial management, project budgets/resourcing

Interacts with senior management, and others concerning matters of significance to the company. Conducts business and technical briefings for senior and top management and for external management and / or representatives.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 12 years. 10 years of management responsibility Strong leadership skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven strategic thinking, planning and organization skills

Capable of analyzing data, anticipating and mitigating risk, exercising sound judgment, problem solving and decision-making working while under pressure and at times with limited desired information

Capable of using personal influence and persuasion to effectively promote ideas and proposals to shape stakeholder opinions

Capable of developing and cultivating strong internal/external networks of contacts and resources to ensure operational execution

Proven change management skills to influence and motivate, demonstrating solid interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated credible leadership style, with concise, well organized oral and written communication skills and proven ability to mobilize and foster team productivity

Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management

Must be extremely efficient, well organized and demonstrate a strong attention to detail

Broad understanding of FDA, GCP, and ICH guidelines with a track record of successful operational delivery
