Role & Responsibilities

As an Associate Operations Manager within the IQVIA Commercial Technologies team, you will work closely with Executive leadership and staff to manage strategic projects and drive coordination across departments. The role holder will help to design strategies, develop operational roadmaps, and drive continuous improvement globally with a material impact to business operations. The role holders’ responsibilities include:

Strategic Activities:

  • Build, maintain, and oversee operations of the Commercial Technology development team. Interface with HR, Engineering, and Finance to drive appropriate resourcing model and size
  • Liaise with Finance to manage overall financial health of business inclusive of process improvement, data transparency, and metric evaluation
  • Develop internal relationships through facilitation of in-person/virtual discussions or workshops
  • Collaborate with Teams to forecast, track, and manage third party spend
  • Overall coordination of technology portfolio inclusive of strategic client migration to current offerings and management from legacy applications

Operational Activities:

  • Establish business KPIs and ensure operational processes are in place to be followed
  • Develop broader and deeper knowledge of organizational methodologies and pharmaceutical market through on the job experience and training
  • Contribute and lead the development of materials for executive business reviews, and other internal management teams on an ongoing basis
  • Identify opportunities for organizational improvement and work with global operations, finance, and Human resources to triage a change registrar

Team Management:

  • Responsible for the overall coordination of the Commercial Technology team (300+ people)
  • Ensure all teams are following standard processes and aligned to the internal IQVIA processes/requirements

Program Management:

  • Plan, organize, and manage tasks to drive successful completion of specific project goals and objectives
  • Oversee program status and coordination of release scheduling, roadmaps, current project status, and identifying risks
  • Build and communicate cadence for the Commercial Technology team with updates on the IQVIA, service offerings, technology, and  team news

About You


Candidates interested in joining as our Associate Operations Manager of Commercial Technologies team should have:

  • 3-5 years professional experience with evidence of career progression
  • Demonstrated capability to lead multi-disciplined teams without direct authority, manage concurrent projects, meet deadlines, and produce high-quality outcomes
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, leading meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing
  • Experience in developing credible relationships with senior level managers and executives in various parts of the business
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement across the organization (strategic & operational)
  • Demonstrable analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand financial forecasts and other financial tools that contribute to business forecasting and financial success
  • Ability and willingness to learn and grow
  • Preferred: Experience within the Life Sciences or Healthcare Technology industries
  • Preferred: Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries

In addition to the skills and experience above a Manager should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A track record of leadership and people development
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • A willingness and ability to travel
  • Right to live and work in the recruiting country
