Job Overview:
This role is primarily responsible for the order processing and export of Client research laboratory domestic and international shipments. Ensure U.S. exports are declared and shipped in compliance with U.S. regulations and Client standards. Effectively and compliantly transact and execute U.S. Export shipments from Client warehouse. Interact with Client research and clinical sites and their U.S. vendors. Assist with strategic initiatives at a local level.
Essential Functions
Perform export transactions in a global trade management system for Client site and vendor site exports
Act as primary contact for Client shipping sites in U.S. Export Transactions
Receive and process order requests from automated systems (SAP) & JDE)
Prioritize shipments for on-site Distribution team
Data entry and analysis for domestic & international shipments
Interface with primary Client stakeholders, including Global Clinical Supplies, Planning, Master Planning, Clinical Research, Clinical Distribution
Resolve Stakeholder issues
Review and amend export transaction in a global trade management system
Work with country requirements to provide relevant Trade Documentation
Work within Client Trade Operations Standard Business Practices and align with policy set by Global Trade Compliance
Influence intercompany stakeholders to comply with Standard Business Practices related to trade and/or export
Maintain filing and archiving system for all shipping material for all couriers used
Maintain current knowledge of customs and shipping regulations/restrictions for import/export worldwide and communicate changes effectively
Maintain current knowledge regarding Dangerous Goods shipping
Ensure paperwork generated by photocopying is done in a quality manner to provide a professional appearance and faxed documentation is of a professional appearance prior to faxing
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent in years of experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred
2 year of related experience; international trade requirements experience a plusGood communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office and Outlook
Detail-oriented, thorough, and well-organized.Ability to complete tasks independently and with minimal guidance after training
GMP experience preferred
SAP or JDE experience strongly preferred
International order fulfillment and/or shipping preferred
Ability to handle inquiries and interact with Customers professionally
Ability to grasp general concepts of import/export regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
