Research Analyst

The research analyst is responsible for using statistical methods to collect and analyze appropriate data sets  to solve business questions. 

• Provides statistical methodology support in the delivery of standard and custom studies.
Work directly with Publication Lead to build data/analytic packs to support research plans / hypotheses
Determine appropriate data assets and methodologies and create a methodology plan for each research project; access Advanced Analytics or other CoE support as necessary
• Applies statistical design and methodology to meet client information needs, conducts statistical analyses to derive conclusions from the study and assists in preparing written summaries of study results.
Scales analytic packs across pre-determine basket of products and/or relevant therapy areas for priority clients
Tailor data pulls and modify packet contents for executive engagements as necessary 
• Works as part of a team in preparing analysis plans and statistical reports and performs validation of statistical analysis.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES 
• Bachelor's Degree Statistics, Mathematics, or related field Req
• Two (2) years of experience in operations research, market research, or applied statistics
• Technical knowledge/skills include: regression analysis, sampling, and basic knowledge of SAS programming languages in both PC and mainframe environments.
Ability to convert business questions into data requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and visualization skills to “say it with charts” 
Understand how to use databases and how to apply that data to assess brand performance attributes
Ability contribute to new analysis methodologies, and engage with advanced analytics/statistical modeling experts
• Ability to carry out moderate analysis and information gathering to resolve problems on non-routine matters.

PREFERRED 
In-depth understanding of IQVIA work products, and data sets
Ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment maintaining flexibility and changing priorities to meeting demanding timelines
Intellectual curiosity to dig until clear root cause analysis is completed
Experience with a range of data visualization tools, e.g. PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau
