Job Overview
This position is responsible for building and supporting features as well as mentoring peers and more junior engineers in the development of the DrugDev Spark platform.

This person will be an individual contributor and should be an advanced user of Python

Our ideal candidate will have
Ø BS in a related field (CS, Math) or comparable experience
Ø At least 7 years of web application development experience or 5 years of web application experience plus graduate training
Ø Fewer years of experience will be acceptable with directly relevant coding expertise

Ø Experience mentoring and developing Python Developers

Skill Requirements

Ø Good knowledge of Python or similar languages (Ruby, Go etc)

Ø Good understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), database modelling, ORM (SQLAlchemy, Django)

Ø Experience with web frameworks such as Flask, Django or Ruby on Rails

Ø Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.

Ø Familiarity with Git and related developer workflows.

Ø Previous experience with scrum and agile methodologies.

Ø Ability to lead and/or mentor a group of developers
Ø Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Ø Attention to detail
