The Role:

The successful candidate will partner with the VP of Operations to drive revenue growth and margin expansion across a portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will use their strong analysis skills and relationships with internal stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the portfolio of work, form an opinion on the short, medium and long term financial outlook of the portfolio, identify future financial risk/opportunity and partner with Operations colleagues to deliver positive financial outcomes across the portfolio.Responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of studies within the Large Pharma divisionManage a team of 1-3 people to deliver financial support to the Project Management OrganizationPreparation of monthly financial risk scorecard and risk mitigation action plans with VP of OpsPreparation of monthly financial reporting packages for operations with insightful commentary and analysisConduct monthly financial reviews with operational teams to discuss study financial health and agree appropriate actionsIdentification of Out of Scope activities, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow throughSupport the preparation of monthly financial forecasts and annual budgetIdentification of key Revenue and Margin drivers within the portfolioSupport the preparation of ad-hoc management presentationsRecognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centers on our commitment to People, Clients and PerformanceAs a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, adding value to our business and meeting client needs

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor's Degree, or local equivalent, in related field or equivalentQualified Financial Professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA or other relevant financial education).Solid academic record and strong quantitative skills.Analytically minded, seeks out problem solving opportunitiesEffective interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to communicate with peers, managers and Business Lead executives.Prior relevant experience in financial business partnering role or equivalent is preferred, but not required Eagerness to learn and develop as an ICON employee and member of the Clinical Research Industry.Strong ability in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint required
