We are looking for an Animal Health Technician to join our Toxicology team located in Laval.

 

How will you have an impact?

As animal health technician, you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

Salary: Salary : Depending on the experience, basic salary start at $19.50/hour;  Weekend (2.75$/hrs) and evening ($2.50/hrs) premium added to your hourly rate After 37,5 h : Overtime paid at time and a half Holiday: Paid at double time Annual bonus based on performance. Bonus of 2,000$ after 6 months.

Full-Time Schedule : We are looking for candidates available at least 37.5 hours per week; Available to work on variable schedule : Days, evening and night shifts, with weekend rotation. . What will you work on? 

You will be responsible for the well-being of the animals. You will ensure that their environment is clean, provide their food and water, and oversee their enrichment activities. You will also follow up on their clinical signs, administer medications, take blood samples and give injections while respecting protocols.

 

Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for candidates with a technical background in animal health or bio-ecology or with a Bachelor's degree in biology or animal science. The ideal candidate must be a team player with good observation skills, must be able to work physically, must have a good understanding of written English and must be available to work a variable schedule.
