The Patient Centered Endpoints (PCE) team leads the industry in breadth and depth of Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) and Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) knowledge. Our diverse team of experts works together to develop, execute, and validate psychometric instruments that capture the patient experience with their treatment or disease, analyze and interpret outcomes, and translate the information to advance the initiatives of life science companies.

The IQVIA Patient Centered Endpoints (PCE) team is a specialized and dedicated group of experienced industry professionals who focus on understanding the patient experience and ensuring that scientific rigor required to meet regulatory expectations is incorporated into our methodology and processes.

IQVIA’s PCE team delivers scientific and technology enabled solutions to biopharma drug development and real-world evidence teams, which are based on insights obtained directly from patients. Our services provide differentiation that helps increase the value of an asset, more accurately measures that value, and maximizes market access and adoption. Our PCE solutions support clinical development and real-world evidence requirements and span the development and commercial lifecycle, starting with early strategy development through results interpretation and dissemination.

This role will help build the Patient Experience Solutions (PXS) consulting practice and is responsible for expansion of the PXS team, and working with clients to deliver PXS solutions, with a focus on the technical aspects.

As a Senior Principal, you’ll work directly with clients to provide value added input, deliver projects built around strategic issues and ensure delivery of high levels of client satisfaction.  Responsibilities also include meeting or exceeding assigned revenue targets. This position will work closely with R&D and Commercial IQVIA technologies and COEs.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and enhance the PXS service offerings and build the PXS Consulting team
  • Meets or exceeds assigned revenue targets by developing PXS Offerings and delivering insightful, value-added proposals that address complex client issues.
  • Develops and/or elevates new business opportunities through the identification of follow-on work and new leads.
  • Acts as principal owner of client engagements with ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction and delivers high levels of quality/added value.
  • Leads proposal development to ensure actionable, on-target and timely proposals are provided to clients.
  • Provides follow-up with client after project deliverable have been completed to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Provides direction, advice and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams.
  • Provides high level input to, and ensures the development of, client reports and presentations and delivers all or significant portions of findings to client.
  • Leads development of high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility for internal and client solutions
  • Leads collaborations with other teams to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new patient engagement software or applications
  • Leads thought leadership and firm building initiatives.
  • Remains current on industry, client and competitive trends and directions in order to anticipate and identify new business challenges and issues at assigned clients.
  • Contributes to the enhanced awareness of IQVIA Consulting Group in the marketplace, e.g. through speaking engagements, client meetings, publications.
  • Participates in annual performance review team processes.
  • Engages in recruitment and selection of new staff.
  • Mentors, coaches and shares subject matter expertise with others to help develop individuals and our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients.

Experience

  • Typically requires 14+ years of professional experience
  • 10+ years professional experience in pharmaceutical, and healthcare industry with evidence of career progression
  • Bachelor's degree required; Professional degree (MBA, MPA, etc.) preferred

Skills and Abilities (High Proficiency for all)

  • Deep R&D and Commercial Knowledge - demonstrable experience in and commitment to understanding the patient journey across the pharma value chain
  • Deep Patient Data Understanding - ability to understand the patient data touchpoints across the entire consumer and healthcare ecosystem
  • Solution / Enterprise Architecture Discipline – ability to design solutions, develop technical roadmaps, and integrate IQVIA solutions into legacy pharma technical assets
  • Large Opportunity Business Development - demonstrated ability to construct and partner to win large opportunities for IQVIA technologies
  • Complex Program Management & Project Delivery – ability to successfully deliver high quality solutions, meet customer deadlines, and build lasting relationships
