Quality and Performance Director – Key R&D Account - Europe, Home based

This is a unique and rare opportunity to join IQVIA leading the management and strategy behind a key R&D account. Working in a truly global role across the many functions at IQVIA.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Clinical Operations background and understand the intricate challenges that comes with clinical research. You'll also need to be adept at working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project teams and clients are up to date by delivering quality and project metrics.

ROLE PURPOSE

  • Working as a key member of the IQVIA account team this role will drive improvement in the quality of the Customer required Quality Indicators and Performance Measures. 
  • Will be responsible for working cross functionally with Customer and IQVIA to identify process and quality improvements and project managing the implementation of the initiatives.   
  • Will be customer facing, working directly with the client to implement process changes and quality improvements. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focus on driving excellent customer service through deepening and strengthening relationships within both the customer and IQVIA to deliver on commitments to the highest level of quality.
  • Using data, analytics and insight to determine areas of process and quality improvement to create a sustained performance beyond the customer’s expectations, focusing initially on KPIs and KQIs.
  • Working with the Reporting Analyst to identify opportunities to provide deeper insight to project teams.
  • Manage and oversee delivery of performance metrics.
  • Identification and implementation of leading indicators to allow project teams and management to have timely insight into quarter- and year end performance.
  • Directly customer facing, working cross functionally with the client to implement process improvements and initiatives. Might be required to attend the Quality Council as a Quality representative from the Account
  • Oversee Inspection Management and Inspection Readiness for the Account
  • Drive account level initiatives to improve the efficiency and delivery across the portfolio.
  • Working across IQVIA to implement LEAN process improvements to ensure performance, quality and efficiency/innovation targets are achieved/overachieved.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Highly client focused, with experience of working directly with customers.
  • Experience across the breadth of clinical operations
  • Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications
  • Strong data analysis skills, able to derive trends and identify root causes from data.
  • Experience in LEAN process improvement methodology a bonus.
  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to gather requirements and turn into deliverables through developing own solutions, or working across IQVIA to implement solutions.
  • Results and detail-oriented approach to work delivery and output.
  • Ability to work both under own initiative and take direction from others.
  • Good planning, time management and prioritization skills.

MINIMUM RQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 - 10 year’s relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
