As a Consultant/ Manager within Covance Market Access (CMA) Consulting, you will play a vital role in supporting and leading client engagements/ projects, including business development efforts. You will oversee and conduct all necessary activities through to, and including client presentation, providing mentoring/ coaching support to the project team, and acting as the main day-to-day project contact.

 

Specific, demonstrable experience and expertise in payer insights and analytics is essential, as is broad experience in a range of pricing & market access projects.

Responsibilities:

 

Content development: Comprehensive knowledge of what CMA offers to its clients Provide strategic, methodological, and conceptual approaches to projects according to CMA best practice Bring expertise in Pricing Reimbursement & Market Access (PRMA), payer value communication and other related specialisations, with a good working knowledge of methodologies applied to payer insights and analytics type projects, including design and execution of landscape analyses, HTA review, stakeholder identification and similar projects Good understanding of the concepts of health economics, pricing and price referencing, reimbursement and market access, including reimbursement processes for key global markets (including EU5 and US) Critically review work of more junior staff from a client’s perspective and provide constructive feedback Line management (where applicable) and mentoring of more junior team members Co-ordinate schedules and timelines for multiple staff on their team/project team, and gather input required from other teams/personnel Play a key role in group resource planning and tracking

 

Business development

  Understanding of where our work fits with the client’s strategic goals How CMA presents itself, relative to competitors Full range of services and deliverables CMA can provide Write proposals for a wide range of projects and make useful contributions in pitch meetings Identify where CMA could offer additional services to help client reach strategic goals Follow up on leads and opportunities in order to win business for CMA Work as a team with business development directors in order to win business and advance CMA’s commercial interests Contribute to Consulting specific account plans, taking ownership of specific actions and follow up needs

Project management Manage projects, responsible for overall quality, direction and resource use Co-ordinate schedules and timelines for multiple projects Mentor and coach more junior staff within project teams

 

Client contact Develop good working relationships with clients Comprehensive understanding of client roles, taking a consultative approach to projects and client requirements Offer clients proactive and strategic advice

 

Education :

Life science undergraduate degree from a reputable university is required. Post-graduate qualifications such as MSc/MRes or PhD are preferred. Strong experience/ expertise in pricing and reimbursement, general market access, payer value communication, health economics, modeling, statistics, referencing, proofing etc.

Experience:

The successful candidate will typically have several years’ prior work experience in a similar environment within a consulting practice or a health products manufacturer, with specific experience of leading client engagements, particularly those in the payer insights and analytics space. In addition, solid experience of general market access/ payer value communications, plus a good understanding of general health economic concepts and principles is essential.
