Role Description

PPD is currently recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Intern to support University Recruitment for our Laboratories division. We are looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of 12-15 hours per week during the school year and full time hours during Summer 2021 and is available to start as soon as possible. This position has been made remote capable due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please note, the intern must be within a reasonable driving distance of Middleton, WI to come to the Lab once we can do so safely.

This position will support the Labs University Recruitment team within North America Talent Acquisition. The University Recruitment team specializes in building partnerships with universities, colleges, and technical colleges to increase the entry level employee pipeline for our Labs across the country. They also manage the Lab Internship Programs.

Interns will learn about a contract research organization and its role within the pharmaceutical research and development industry. They will also be assigned specific project activities under the direction of their supervisor. The student will benefit by applying what they have learned in the classroom to practical situations and by having various opportunities to develop professionally.

Pay: $15.00/hr

Degree concentrations desired: human resources, communications

Responsibilities Manage student messaging regarding virtual career fairs and events utilizing Handshake Virtual event planning, execution, and tracking Manage Scientific Internship Program Social Media Contest Contribute to social media posts Assist with Diversity and Inclusion initiatives Completing tasks in "Student's Measurable Learning Objectives" Training within department (attend departmental specific training) Attending meetings and other learning opportunities Assisting team members with assigned tasks Other tasks under the direction of the PPD supervisor

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate program focused on the degree concentrations desired listed above as a rising Junior or rising Senior

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good communication and interpersonal skills Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively Good English and grammar skills Good computer skills, proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
