Job Summary We are seeking an Animal Care Technician/Corporate Response Team 2for ourInsourcing Solutions Departmentlocated inCambridge, MA.

Perform any combination of the following duties at IS client facilities on a temporary basis, as assigned by site supervisor or client POC and in accordance with research requirements and established site SOP’s/practices. Cares for the animals used in research and development studies. Performs duties related to the maintenance of experimental animals such as feeding and caring for animals, cleaning cages, holding animals for treatment by laboratory technician or maintaining inventory and animal identification records. Performs cleaning/sanitation of animal facility and equipment. Responsible for bio-safety and bio-security of the animals. May partner with pre-clinical investigators to assist and support veterinarians with surgery, dosing, post-op care and monitoring of animal studies.Primarily based at CRADL facility unless needed.

The following are minimum qualifications related to theCorporate Response Team 2position: Education:Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in animal science or related field of study. Experience:One year of animal care and handling, and technical experience with small models in a research laboratory program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure:AALAS certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician level (ALAT) or higher. Other:Computer literacy in Microsoft Outlook, word processing and database record keeping required. Ability to develop and maintain positive, professional working relationships with all levels of management, clients and staff. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities and function independently, as well as within a team environment, with minimal supervision. Ability to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, and industry regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to adapt and respond timely to the needs of the assigned contract to ensure that excellent customer service is provided at all times.
