We are looking for a Senior Counsel, Italy and Greece

Role Purpose

Acting as a Legal partner to the IQVIA Italy and Greece businesses, the Senior Legal Counsel will provide legal leadership and support for the Italy and Greece businesses and the EMEA contracting process.

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as strategic legal partner for, and counsellor to the Italian and Greek businesses for legal matters including contracts and agreements, training, competition law, litigation and disputes, projects and mergers and acquisitions and other legal matters that arise
• Participate in the Italian leadership team
• Be a resource for regional lawyers in understanding key objectives/terms/risks/delivery model of the Italian and Greek businesses offerings
• Ensuring legal training and best practices are disseminated to the Italian and Greek businesses
• Accountability for adapting, driving and implementing acceptance and use of new legal templates, innovations and processes within the Italian and Greek businesses
• Collaborate with the Italian and Greek business leadership to facilitate business and legal goals and objectives
• Collaborate with regional lawyers to educate, train and communicate Italian and Greek business goals and expectations of legal
• Supporting Italian and Greek business leadership in cross-functional initiatives to enhance the contracting experience
• Become aligned on a regional basis for one or more IQVIA major clients
• Act as a team leader and “guru” within the EMEA legal team for the Italian and Greek contracts and other legal issues

Main Requirements:

• At least 7 years of previous experience in the role, preferably gained at an inhouse tech/biopharma multinational business
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Excellent judgement with the ability to anticipate and identify issues.
• Ability to engage in complex problem solving
• Ability to earn the trust of the management team of the business
• Strong legal technical abilities
• Self-reliant, hard-working and results-orientated
• Ability to work effectively within all regional teams
• Culturally sensitive
• Effective and tactful in involving and passing to other disciplines/ managing parameters of legal involvement

Reporting  Line: VP Associate General Counsel EMEA, with a dotted line to the SVP and General manager of Italy & Greece.
