Purpose

Manages all aspects of Finance Operations, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the operational reporting of a growing and complex business environment, including revenue recognition, cost accounting and balance sheet management. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day financial operations, coordinate month-end activities with the local Finance team and take ownership for the monthly reporting
  • Provide high quality reporting and analysis to be used both internally and externally
  • Ensure robust cashflow forecasting is completed on a monthly basis
  • Represent Finance at internal and external audit meetings
  • Manage the external audit processes
  • SOX sign off for business units, continual review of the appropriateness of the SOX controls as the organization grows and introduces increasing levels of automation
  • Coach and mentor staff to improve performance
  • Partners with regional management, advising on appropriate accounting treatment and processes
  • Identifies and monitors areas of operational risk and/or opportunity.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Finance Qualification required. CIMA, ACCA, ICAS
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Previous Life Science or Manufacturing organization experience
  • Knowledge of financial systems, Peoplesoft and Hyperion an advantage
  • Strong excel and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong leadership and focus
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical proficiency with financial application software is essential
  • High level of integrity and self-confidence
