With minimal guidance, perform advanced tasks associated with growing and maintaining cell lines for use in pre-clinical experiments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine through advanced cell passages, large scale cell growth and harvesting of cells.

• Perform in vitro assays and interpret and modify assay protocols based on data analysis.

• Independently collect, analyze, and prepare data.

• Review study; provide feedback on accuracy of materials and report results to senior research staff.

• Review protocol with manager to ensure proper study execution; verify protocol designs are properly updated before initiation and assure raw data has been properly processed.

• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment.

• Perform CBC analysis on Cell Dyn 3700.

• Inventory, re-stock and order supplies with the approval of manager.

• Provide assistance to research associates as assigned.

• Perform all other related duties as assigned. Job Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in biology or related field. Experience: 2 to 4 years experience in a pharmaceutical support laboratory (tissue culture, formulation, in vitro assays, etc.) and experience in the collection, interpretation and entry of data. Preferred: experience with mammalian cell culture, ELISA assays, Western Blots, 96-well plate-based assays and experience using multi-channel pipettors.
