At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for a Tax Accountant to join the team in our Leopardstown, Dublin 18 location.

The Role:

Reporting to the Tax Manager, this excellent opportunity will involve working on a broad range of domestic and cross border tax issues across ICON's divisions. Based in ICON's global headquarters in Dublin, you will become part of a highly motivated tax team responsible for the management and oversight of ICON's tax position globally.

Together with the tax manager, you will be responsible for managing taxes for ICON across a portfolio of countries globally, including:Working with internal finance teams and local external advisers to ensure compliance with tax filing and payment obligations across each of your countries and provision of audit defence support as required;Maintaining excellent relationships with local finance teams and external advisers;Keeping up to date with legislative developments in your countries and ensuring the implications of all legislative changes are addressed appropriately;Ensuring accurate and timely quarterly US GAAP reporting;Providing commercially focused and actionable tax support in respect of local business operations in your countries across all tax heads;Ensuring maintenance of existing structures and incentives;Ensuring compliance with local transfer pricing regulations within the framework of ICON's overall business model.Providing tax advice and support for projects relevant to your portfolio of countries.

What you will need: Recently Qualified or Part qualified Accountant and AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with an excellent academic background;Currently working with a Big 4 practice or within the tax function of a PLC/MNC with of 3 - 4 years of relevant experience;A commercially focused problem solver with a strong technical background. Broad international corporate tax and VAT experience will be an advantage;Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills;Able to work well as part of a team and influence cross functional groups to implement efficient and tax compliant solutions;Excellent computer skills, Oracle/Hyperion experience an advantage but not necessary;
