Registered Nurse - Telegraph Point

Are you a Registered Nurse with IV Infusion experience?

Do you live in Port Macquarie?

IQVIA is looking for an RN in or near Telegraph Point interested in working casually on one of our patient support programs.

Patients on this program will receive a monthly IV Infusion for any one of the below conditions:

• advanced non-small cell lung cancer

• skin cancer called melanoma that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery (advanced melanoma)

• advanced renal cell carcinoma

• Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck (SCCHN)

• classical Hodgkin Lymphoma

• advanced bladder cancer (Urothelial Carcinoma)

About the role:

One patient located in Telegraph Point

Patients initially receive 10 infusions in hospital then move out into the community where they receive an infusion once a month.

The nurse needs to pick up the product from the hospital pharmacy or the local pharmacy.

The patient visit requires a pre – call to the patient and pharmacy and a post infusion report needs to be completed. Any adverse events must be reported within 1 business day.

The whole process takes about 3.1hours.

The infusion can be arranged at a time that suits the nurse and patient, keeping in mind the hospital and pharmacy opening hours, plus or minus 2 days of the due date.

Nurse Skill/Education Requirements

Essential:

• RN (Current Registration)

• Excellent IV Cannulation skills required

• Portacath access experience ideally

• High attention to detail

• Current/ full/ unrestricted driver’s licence

• IT Proficient

• Australian Citizen / PR

• Ability to work on a casual basis

Desirable:

• Community Nursing Experience
