  Job Summary The team leader is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and reviewing studies. We are currently looking to fill a Senior role for our Pharmacy team located in Laval (greater Montreal area), Quebec.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the position: Train Pharmacy technicians; Prepare weekly schedules; Prepare studies with an appropriate planning of material and documents; Help to prepare drug formulation in suspension, capsule, solution, dermal cream, etc; Review study books and complete Quality Assurance inspection reports; Write, review and respect all Standards Operational Procedures (SOPs); Supervise the verification and shipment of biological samples, formulation, etc., for sponsors; Manage laboratory spaces and storage areas; Identify needs for standard material and products; Fill out forms required for studies; Write deviation reports, when necessary; Use various laboratory equipments; Ensure that work performed is in accordance with the requirements of a protocol and in full compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), where these conditions apply;  Coordinate tasks, schedules and activities; Provide feedback regularly about employees performance; Maximize the utilization of all resources; Manage time effectively; Remain informed on all legislation and developments related to job through self education and external training; Substitute and/or assist department colleagues; Perform any other reasonable tasks that may be required. Qualifications  

The following are minimum qualifications related to the position: Collegial Diploma in laboratory techniques or biochemistry or equivalent experience; 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician; Strong knowledge and application of GLP; Reading of English is required. Bilingualism is preferable; Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; Detail oriented and meticulous; Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to change; Flexibility to work on changing work schedules; Ability to work in a team environment; Demonstrated leadership ability; Ability to efficiently manage time, resources and people; Working knowledge of related computer applications.

 

Woking Environment: Work in a laboratory environment; Considerable sensory attention is required on a regular basis; Work schedule requires flexibility as per job requirements; Work with high toxicity levels sometimes.
