Position Purpose:
Grow Commercial Compliance and Technology revenue at pharma HQ accounts and selected large local affiliates in EMEA. Together with Key Account Managers and Technology Business Partners, help to establish IQVIA as the premium provider of choice for end-to-end Commercial Compliance solutions, by selling and delivering consulting projects strengthening and enhancing our technology offering.

Accountability:

  • Lead the commercial compliance consulting business across EMEA
  • Build and grow a consulting team to drive respective offering
  • Establish and constantly develop a clear commercial compliance consulting offering
  • Primary focus of this role is to develop, sell and deliver consulting engagements in the area of commercial compliance
    • Identify and qualify opportunities
    • Form pursuit teams with the appropriate experts (also from the broader IQVIA organization if needed)
    • Drive development and presentation of proposals
    • Develop and negotiate contracts with all relevant stakeholders and close the deal
  • This includes hands-on preparation of client discussion papers and proposals
  • Build close client relationships from operational to senior mgmt. level
  • Ensure delivery excellence through solid planning and staffing as well as overall guidance of the IQVIA teams and oversee the engagement in a Principal-in-Charge (PIC) role with full responsibility vis-à-vis the client for quality, time and budget
  • Liaise with the global IQVIA network to drive large client engagements during pre-sales, sales and delivery phases
  • Drive innovation for the broader Technology community drawing from own sales and delivery work, and play an active role in knowledge sharing

Reporting and Scope:

  • Principal or Sr. Principal role – comparable to 1st or 2nd partner level in typical consulting company - , depending on prior experience
  • Reports to Head of Technology Consulting EMEA located in Basel, Switzerland
  • Annual sales goal: $ 3-5m to be discussed, depending on agreed BD focus across offering & clients

Required Education and Experience:

  • University degree in law, business administration, economics, medicine, sciences, or comparable
  • 8+ years experience at top compliance consulting company (Huron, Cutting Edge, PwC, EY, Deloitte) or in a compliance role in the Life Science   
  • Hands on experience in commercial compliance definition programs in Life Science. This should include
    • Commercial Compliance process definition
    • Compliance Audits
    • HCPs engagements (as speakers / consultants) compliance
    • Virtual and Hybrid events compliance
    • Fair Market Value consulting and database supply
    • GDPR / Data Privacy audit and privacy rules compliance processes implementation
    • Transparency Reporting outsourcing
  • Sound expertise in client delivery, project management and BD
  • Several years of project experience with pharma and other healthcare industries
    (sound knowledge of the pharma industry and its core processes is a must)
  • Prior direct pharma industry experience welcome

Additional Requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial attitude, driver, willingness to take risks with strong hunting skills, but also long-term strategic thinking regarding development of an account
  • Hands-on, with strong issue-based consulting and conceptual skills and an ambition for innovation
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across complex networks, internally and at the client, and to influence organizations
