Job Summary The Equipment Technical Coordinator will assist with all aspects of Equipment maintenance services throughout the organization. This position will provide support to Equipment-related projects and must have a strong understanding of GMP manufacturing environments. Will coordinate with Equipment Manufacturers, Service Vendors, and onsite Operations. 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

•    Performs Calibrations, Preventive Maintenance, Electrical Safety Checks on Lab Equipment, and documents following Good Documentation Practices. 

•    Maintain and Procure Lab and Facility Equipment Parts Inventory Lists.

•    Communicate scope of repairs, schedule and interact with Landlord/Building Management.

•    Use various CMMS software to create Job Plans, Tasks and Work Orders to enter Facility and Equipment Assets for Program Maintenance.

•    Coordinates with Procurement for the acquisition of Facility and Equipment purchases by providing vendor options and quotes through the manufacturer or vendor of respective Equipment.

•    Manage complex systems and large numbers of instruments and Equipment by strictly adhering to timelines, management of routine maintenance, Equipment installation, operation, and performance qualification.

•    Performs and/or coordinates the cyclical maintenance on all critical Equipment

•    Supports a controlled database for the documentation and trending of the performance readings (i.e., temperature readings, pressure readings, etc.) for critical Equipment and Facilities.

•    Creates, outlines, and writes technical Equipment/Facility protocols, reports, SOP’s, and other directive documents

•    Manages the safety of the laboratories and other operational areas by ensuring the proper storage of chemicals and biological waste and the proper function of the showers and eyewashes.

•    Manages the fire safety and emergency response within the Facility. Job Qualifications

•    High school diploma or comparable education, required.

•    Associate’s or bachelor’s degree Preferred with a focus in Biological, Biotechnology or Science related field.

•    Two plus years of Equipment maintenance; preferably within a GMP or RUO manufacturing site. 

•    Must have a strong understanding of GMP and RUO fresh or frozen cell manufacturing collections, processing, storage, logistics and environments. 

•    Comprehension of Metrology, Temperature/Humidity Monitoring Software System. Chart paper utilization, organization, and data loggers for Equipment/Facility Manual Monitoring.

•    Detail oriented with Calibration/PM/Electrical Safety Check certificates, service reports, Equipment history logs, due dates, calendars, and scheduling.

•    Familiarity with a work order maintenance system.

•    Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

•    Flow Cytometry troubleshooting experience is a plus.
