  Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach for our Digital Team. This is a remote position with a preference that the candidate be located anywhere within the U.S, Canada or the U.K.  

 

An advocate for Agile mindsets, behaviors and processes, the Agile Coach is responsible for helping teams perform by instilling an Agile mindset and methodology through coaching, improving team processes and championing continuous improvement. The Agile Coach has a deep understanding of the organization and team processes and adds value with broader perspective of having seen other teams go through the same transition before. One Agile coach can support 2-4 Agile teams (ratio depending on team maturity).

 

Key responsibilities of this role include: 

•    Analyze sales funnels and customer intent

•    Guides team to develop OKRs (Objectives & Key Result) to ensure product alignment to business priorities

•    Champions implementation of Agile standard methodologies across teams with high level of collaboration

•    Supports continuous improvement of methods and incorporates them into day-to-day work of the teams

•    Promotes self-organization, collaboration and improved team dynamics

•    Advocates for the right, not the easy solution

•    Removes and/ or appropriately escalates impediments to the team to enable business value delivery

•    Launches new teams, sets up result delivery processes (e.g., facilitates workshops, trainings, help teams to define the cadence)

•    Provides guidance on Agile practices for the organization, including creating training materials and other tools

•    Identifies challenges and opportunities for teams and key roles (e.g., Product Owner, Scrum Master, Tech Lead,) and generates a tailored coaching plan for each to help them on their journey

•    Identifies and communicates solutions, behavior changes, mindset shifts required for team members and key roles and provides 1:1 coaching as needed

•    Identifies tools, trainings or additional resources individuals should leverage to build on their opportunity areas as part of their coaching plan

•    Perform all other related duties as assigned Job Qualifications  

The following are minimum requirements related to the Agile Coach: Bachelor's degree in computer science/technical or related field. 5+ years Agile experience, including 2+ years as an Agile practitioner and 3+ years as an Agile Coach (~1 year experience in managing multiple Agile teams). Deep expertise in Agile methodologies and frameworks. Proficiency in coaching, mentoring and adult learning methodologies. Experience with (organizational) change management. Experience with enterprise technologies. Experience applying concepts and techniques from multiple Agile approaches. Demonstrated knowledge and experience building, consuming, and supporting APIs Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions. Visible passion for subject area, participation in domain activities and groups, ability to organize related events. Strong belief that others respond to role modelling and can grow and change trough coaching, transparency and trust. Openness to new ideas and desire to develop them together. Focused on building high performing teams, developing team members and delivering outcomes that matter to organization An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
