Senior Data Governance Analyst

The Data Governance Analyst is responsible to collect, normalize, develop and implement enterprise wide definitions and standards for critical data assets within Parexel. This role is responsible for identifying what is operationally and technically required for measurement and resolution of data governance related issues.

Key Accountabilities:

Critical Data Element (CDE) Management Enrich metadata within Alation Data Catalog (Data Catalog) Work with Domain Data Leads and Domain Data Stewards to upload and maintain CDE’s, data definitions, standards and metadata in the data catalogGenerate periodic dashboards and metrics around CDEs being added, modified and publish to relevant business stakeholdersData Quality Management Support root-cause analysis for data quality issues processAssist Domain Data Stewards in monitoring data quality trends and recommend appropriate data remediation planStakeholder Relationships Partner with Data Governance Leads to support data projects as part of the Project Lifecycle processCollaborate with members of the Domain Data Leads and operations teams to understand business requirements, trends and expectations for analysisPartner with the business domains, quality organization, Corporate IT and System owners to identify and document business rulesWork with Domain Data Stewards to identify systemic data quality issues (e.g., issues that are common across Functions) and coordinate remediation/resolution; propose any data quality issues for escalation Business Rules and Training Participate in workshops to define, capture and document business rulesWork with Data Analysts and Technical Data Stewards to help maintain central repository of business rules for enterprise wide consumption and usageWork with HR Business Partners and Training department to onboard Domain Data Steward rolesQualificationsSkills:Effective understanding and appreciation of Data Governance and Data Quality related conceptsExcellent problem-solving, written communication, collaboration, team leadership, and critical-thinking skillsAbility to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and collaborate on cross-domain issuesFamiliarity with the underlying source systems including Salesforce, Planisware, Oracle Financials, etc. is a plus
