IQVIA is developing and expanding its patient and prescription data business for both commercial and scientific customers. We are looking for someone to help develop and evolve these data products to offer clients deeper insight and understanding of the way medicines are used to treat patients.

Role Summary

The role of the Product Manager is to implement a comprehensive offering development and data asset acquisition plan for the RWS offerings. This role will have responsibility for the evolution of the offering into an even more powerful and insightful data source meeting the evolving needs of our clients. This will include identifying and specifying enhancements to improve the data quality and flexibility of reporting, working with the development team to improve the data infrastructure, working with the supplier team to ensure data continuity, as well as liaising with legal and information governance to ensure we remain compliant.

This role is aligned to the 2020+ Offering strategy to facilitate the 1) access to RWD 2) support the strategy and development of our RWE capabilities in line with the market need 3) support the evolution of existing offerings such as Oncology Insight Simulator (OIS), IQVIA Medical Research Data (IMRD), Enriched ‘One Click’ Studies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain key relationships with external stakeholders where necessary to support existing and new offering development (PHE, HDI, NHS Digital, other could include academic institutions, hospital trusts, other organizations involved in RWD)
  • Support the acquisition of key NHS data (HES) from NHS Digital used by healthcare and RWE teams
  • Support the joint venture with Health Data Insights (HDI), in partnership with RWS, increasing access to oncology data and support Oncology Insight Simulator (OIS)
  • Conduct opportunity appraisals for new initiatives leveraging such relationships, in line with the offering strategy, such as NHS AI projects, patient engagement and support, enriched studies
  • Commercial strategy for the Patient Data moving to the Real-World Data Factory and further developing IMRD
  • Future Oncology Strategy and evolution of secondary care offerings in the changing UK market
  • Lead product go to market planning for responsible offerings and work with Marketing Manager to develop and input to marketing activities for the UK and Ireland patient data offerings
  • Identifying opportunities for thought leadership generation and developing IQVIA expertise in this area
  • May coach or mentor less experienced colleagues.

The Offering Strategy team members are aligned to key UK Information Offerings and developments to drive improvements that result in revenue protection and growth for the UK and Ireland. The allocation of products and projects is constantly reviewed we ensure that the team we are working on revenue generating and strategic projects for future revenue streams. The remit of the team is to ensure current offerings remain fit for market and to design, shape and bring new offerings to market.

Education, skills and experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Understanding and experience of the use of IQVIA and NHS data in the pharmaceutical and industry and healthcare sector
  • Marketing/Product Management or other relevant experience in developing or delivering services for pharmaceutical customers
  • Working knowledge of the information governance and related laws and procedures with holding and use of prescription and patient data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven project management and planning capabilities
  • Proven ability to drive activity within cross-functional team-working.
