PPD’s contracts and proposals department compiles and produces proposal documents to support large complex bids for the management of clinical studies, ensuring that each bid is tailored to the needs of PPD's clients.

As a Commercial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to prepare written bids, proposals, and budget estimates in response to Requests for Proposals for submission to the client. You will also make modifications to existing proposals and contracts and tracks revisions.

Primary responsibilities:Coordinating timely collection of data for proposal and budget development in response to Requests for Proposal.Prepares accurate bids and proposals that conform to PPD contract requirements and meet client needs.Gathers and analyzes data for proposals and contract modifications and tracks revisions on a timely basisCommunicates with Cost Analysts to develop payment schedules that conform to PPD requirements and meet client needsEnsures accurate information is entered into the proposal and contract tracking database so that timely and accurate reports can be generated

Qualifications

Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Business-related area and minimum of 1-2 years experience in bid preparation and/or the development and fulfillment of contracts requirements; or minimum of 3 years providing technical/administrative clinical trial project support with demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibilityEquivalent combination of education, professional training and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the job

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Officesoftware (minimally Word and Excel)General knowledge of contractual documentsExperience working with proposals

High quality oral and written communication skillsAbility to handle high level of pressure and to multi-taskAbility to coordinate information from and follow up with diverse sources in order to meet clients' requirements for proposal and budget developmentMust be detail orientedStrong analytical and math skills
