Job Summary We are seeking an Information Security Student/Graduate for our Information Security group located remotely in the UK.

The Information Security Student/Graduate position will provide support to ensure information system data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. This role will work with subject matter experts to: analyze threat and vulnerability alerts; evaluate multiple intelligence sources for threats; identify and track threats across domains; perform basic malware analysis and forensics; document and report intrusions, coordinate remediation; and assist in the development, evaluation, and maintenance of cyber security tools, policies, and procedures.

As a student, you will build a close professional relationship with your assigned CRL Student supervisor through weekly meetings, including but not limited to the discussion of progress, goals, and job tasks. You will learn threat intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting techniques and interact with a variety of information security disciplines. Short term projects will be designed to help better familiarize you with your new work environment and co-workers, while speaking to your specific interests, and helping to develop your skills. These quick tasks/challenges are meant to inspire ideas/spur new working relationships which can be directed towards job tasks and responsibilities. You will also be assigned one long term project within the first couple of weeks of employment. Though we encourage independence and innovation throughout the program, it is through these long-term projects, due at the end of the period of employment, that students are truly given the opportunity to prove how they can make a difference within their field.

 This role will be a fixed term contract of up to one year and there will be flexibility of part time or full-time work depending on the successful candidates availability. This role may suit a candidate who is studying towards an IT certificate.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Information Security Student/Graduate position. Some experience of hands-on technical IT experience or related classroom experience preferably in the areas of security, cryptography, digital forensics, security-focused scripting/programming, etc. Ability to plan at a detailed level Decision making ability Ability to multi-task effectively Excellent organizational skills Good verbal and written communication skills Experience with office productivity software (Microsoft, Google Docs, or similar)

 

The salary for this position will be dependent on skills and experience.
