This position is involved in all aspects of the studies supporting the In Vivo services group.  This position is a combination of office and hands-on duties with responsibilities including, but not limited to; compound administration via various routes, accurate data collection, clinical observations, sample collection and processing, training/mentoring staff, and training program and SOP revisions and improvements.  This position will also assist supervisors with the planning and execution of daily study and facility task schedules

  Job Qualifications The following are minimum qualifications related to the Team Leader position:

Education:  High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (G.E.D.). Bachelor’s preferred (B.S) or equivalent in animal or life science or related discipline.

Experience:  Minimum 4 years related experience in a GLP environment and experience with research and investigative procedures, techniques and literature. 

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

Certification/Licensure: ALAT required, LAT preferred.

Other:  Ability to handle common laboratory species.  Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to coworkers and supervisors. Proficient in basic technical skills and the operation of data collection equipment. Organization skills enabling effective management of multiple, concurrent tasks & priorities. Knowledge of GLPs and other federal regulations and guidelines relating to the care of laboratory animals. Strong understanding of study design and protocols.
