Job Summary Charles River is looking for an enthusiastic Project Management Officer to join the team at High Peak, North West UK. The summary of the role is to prepare high quality interim study images and deliver high-quality study summary reports for Charles River clients. 

 

Main Responsibilities:

•    The role will require production of high quality interim images at all stages throughout the study to be shared with clients.

•    Having completed screening of clients’ molecules using our bespoke cell microarray technology, the purpose of this role is to compile summary reports for the client, based upon appropriate report templates and client-specific requirements. This needs to be a clear and accurate record of the study and results.

•    The role will require effective and professional communication with Charles River scientists, team leaders and the project delivery team.

•    Given the large and growing number of projects that are undertaken (>50 simultaneously) and varied client deadlines, this is a fast-moving field, and requires an individual who can work flexibly and respond to tight deadlines.

•    It will be essential to maintain excellent records of progress of all images/reports on the company-wide management system. 

•    To develop an understanding of the business technology platform.

•    Possible future supervision and time management of project management assistant.

•    The role gives the opportunity to work within the Project Delivery Team, to liaise with Project Managers, be involved in data production for study duration and to experience data quality management first hand.

 

Profile and Requirements: 

•    A degree in the field of biological sciences is preferred and experience in drug discovery would be a distinct advantage.

•    Must be highly organized.

•    Must have a critical eye for detail. 

•    Must be flexible and have a proven ability to work to tight deadlines.

•    Ability to multi task.

•    Ability to plan & prioritise day to day activities

•    Must be a competent user of IT packages, in particular MS Powerpoint and Excel.

•    Must be an effective and professional communicator with people at all levels and be a team player.

•    Training will be provided initially, but requires someone to take responsibility for delivering the requirements of this role.
