This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Our Medical Technologist will ensure the Laboratory is meeting the highest quality standards. Perform the general technical assignments and testing in the Laboratory Department in accordance with current procedures and quality standards.

Overview of the Role:

Demonstrate education and experience commensurate with performance of pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing procedures using molecular methods, techniques, and equipmentAnalyze result data for results reporting per study guidelinesDeliver results within the expected time periodPerform one or more methods including nucleic acid extraction, quantitative/qualitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR), RNA/DNA sequencingVerify and ensure specimen integrity and continuity throughout all testing stepsPerform critical quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of clinical dataValidate test results through correlation with test parametersComplete routine instrument and equipment preventive maintenance and troubleshootingTrain newer laboratory technologists in the use of proper techniques and procedures related to good clinical laboratory practiceEffectively work independently and as a member of an dynamic, integrated teamBe flexible and able to multi-task while working efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding work environmentBe experienced with Word and Excel applicationsDemonstrate proficiency of verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate ongoing skill competency and fulfill annual training/continuing education requirements

To succeed you will need:

You will possess a Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 2 years experience successfully performing as a Technologist in a molecular biology laboratory. A MB(ASCP), MT(ASCP) certification or eligibility for certification is preferred.
