Lab Assistant

<p style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt;">LabCorp is seeking aLab Assistantto join our team inSanta Fe, NM. This role works in a high volume, production based environment performing a vital component of clinical lab science.</p> <p style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt;">The schedule for this position will be:</p> <p style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt;">1st shift (Tuesday-Saturday and every 3rd Monday. Tuesday-Friday 9:00am-5:45pm. <br />Monday and Saturday 8:30am-5:15pm. Start time is based on specimen delivery times and may vary. Mandatory OT based on volume. Currently averaging 2hrs/day.)</p> <p><strong>Job Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Receive and sort clinical lab specimens</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Prepare specimens for testing and analysis</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Troubleshoot any specimen related issues</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Replenish test bench supplies as needed</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Maintain a clean and safe work environment</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards</li> </ul>
