Principal BI Developer

Duties: Parexel International LLC seeks a Principal BI Developer in Durham to provide subject matter expertise and project management for the design and development of Business Intelligence applications . Lead projects and oversee that application design and development meet business requirements using Agile methodology. Ensure system design and prepare technical specification documents. Oversee the leadership, management and development of the team to ensure performance meets or exceeds both business and personal goals/objectives. Mentor junior developers in coding, testing and documenting according to system development lifecycles. Perform code and document reviews from junior developers. Manage the performance and document unit testing and integration testing of all applications and code in a source code controlled environment. Evaluate new tools and technologies and develop proof-of-concepts. Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure product, liaise with business units to gather requirements, and train end users on newly developed Business Intelligence applications. Provide Crystal Reports and Business Views . Utilize Agile Software development and Warehousing Methodologies, Dimensional Modeling, DAC, ETL, OBIEE, Informatica, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Business Views, Xcelsius, Webi Reports, Universe, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, and Software Development Lifecycle processes. Prepare and deliver verbal/written presentations to business users and senior management. Position may work from home 1-2 days per week. QualificationsRequirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field plus three years (or Bachelor's degree plus five progressive years) of business intelligence software development experience in: (1) Data Warehousing Methodology using Dimensional Modeling and ETL, (2) Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, (3) Informatica and DAC, (4) Business Objects Universe and Webi Reports, (5) Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, (6) Crystal Reports and Business Views, (7) liaising with business users to gather requirements and translate technical designs, and (8) providing verbal and written presentations to business units and senior management.
