Private Cloud Automation Administrator

Must be a self starter & independent worker. This selected candidate must also be willing to build bridges with other disciplines and likes to work in cross-disciplined IT groups.

Working knowledge of VMware, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Linux or Microsoft operating systems

Position is to help create scripting for a software defined data center environment

Assist in the day to day maintenance of all virtual environments.

Documentation of the supported environments.

Responsible for Server deployments, system upgrades/updates and automation support around these actions.

Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages used to manage our private cloud.

Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.

This position does require working weekends & off-hours support on a per incident basis

 Education/Qualifications:

Normally requires a B.S. Degree in Computer Science w/6+ years of experience. Experience:

Experience with Python, Power Shell, PowerCLI or Ansible

Knowledge of hyper-converged infrastructures like Nutanix, vxRail, etc. as plus. Will train if needed

Basic networking knowledge, experience with virtual networks a huge plus

Knowledge of VMware vSphere 6+ environments,

Working knowledge of vRealize Operations Manager, vRealize Automation & vRealize Orchestrator a plus

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server or Linux Operating Systems.

VCP, RHCP or CCNA Certifications a huge plus
