Responsible for leading and supervising a team of Payroll specialists / Team leader in APAC. The Payroll team in APAC is responsible for processing multiple payrolls for different counties by ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. The right candidate is strong in communication, collaboration, cross-department coordination, people management and biased to action. The desired candidate should have experience of managing International Payroll teams within APAC region and should have continues improvement mind-set.

Demonstrate problem solving / analytical thinking. Able to work on your own initiative, but where needed, recognize when to escalate to the regional leader. Proficient Excel skills required, with a working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite applications. (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Premium customer service skills Should carry a customer centric approach Strong English language skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day operations of the payroll processing team ensuring the processes are running effectively and accurately. Responsible for all aspects of managing and supervision payroll staff including interviewing and selection, hiring, discipline, and termination of staff. Define standard operating procedures and continuous improvement opportunities for the group and work with the other groups within the region to establish standard controls and processes. Develop and implement new processes/Improve existing processes where needed Project management skills required to lead payroll projects with the team members Review and sign-off of payroll related account reconciliations Review and approve payroll outputs while ensuring quality checks and accuracy Managing Finance audits for multiple countries and follow up on action closure Managing vendor invoice approvals and coordination On-boarding new Payroll vendors Improve process documentations and payroll standards Should guide and lead the team of payroll professionals to improve employee experience Manage employee performance reviews and goals setting Must be willing to be a back-up and process payroll occasionally Ensure the timely preparation and completion of local reporting requirements. Demonstrate a firm understanding of accounting principles and control requirements. Proven track record in problem solving / solution driven. Ensures compliance for all payroll related statutory deductions/payments Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams

QualificationsAssociates degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Total 12+ years of experience in Payroll management and minimum of 3 years experience in leading a payroll team within a shared service environment. Experience in managing payroll for countries - India, Australia, any other APAC regions. Global Payroll Process experience is value added
