The Sales Intern is responsible for supporting Microbial Solutions sales.  Will supports the sales process for specific products, services, accounts and/or sales opportunities via phone and e-mail.  This individual works closely with the Microbial Solutions Commercial team to meet and exceed sales quota.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

•    Assist with territory opportunities and product lifecycle management.

•    Assist in maintaining a CRM database via updates to sales opportunities, sales stages, marketing statuses, and customer intelligence data.

•    Provide pricing, create and submit individualized quotes and support price renewal price process in region.

•    Help develop client relationships and retain existing accounts.

•    Learn and apply sales techniques.

•    Analyze sales performance data to drive improvements and change.

•    Update sales documents and sales records, as needed.

•    Qualify new accounts per Account Manager request.

•    Work with multiple departments on special projects, as needed.

•    Collect and analyze data to identify business/industry trends.

•    Share customer problems/concerns with relevant departments for quality resolution.

•    Work collaboratively with Marketing to drive product promotions and provide feedback on ROI.

•    Perform all other related duties as assigned. 

 

Education:  Currently enrolled in a university program, preferably to obtain a degree in Sales, Marketing or related discipline.

 

Experience:  

•    Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PPT).

•    Salesforce experience preferred but not required.

•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

 

Languages: English / German / Dutch
