The primary responsibilities for the Shipping Team Lead is to assist in the daily supervision of the department and provide direction and leadership in supervisor’s absence. This role works side-by-side with Shipping team members to pack, check and coordinate orders of FDA regulated products. The Shipping Team Lead is also responsible for finished goods inventory accuracy through performance of cycle counts and monitoring inventory levels to prevent stock out situations.
Check orders prepared by others for shipment to customers; monitor for accuracy of lot numbers, quantities, certificate of analysis, and agreement between customer order and content of package Assist/provide input to supervisor/manager regarding personnel management activities such as: scheduling, personnel actions (hiring, promotions, transfers, etc.), training and development, providing regular direction and feedback on performance, disciplinary actions and preparing and delivering annual performance and salary reviews. Serve as a role model for effective time management, communication and utilization of resources Assist in the maintenance and communication of departmental systems and SOPs. Ensure accurate, high-quality work, and adherence to pertinent departmental policies, practices and procedures [SOPs, safety procedures and biosafety protocols]. Job Qualifications Education: High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent Experience: 3 to 4 years related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure: None. Other: Must be detail oriented. Mu st be able to utilize a computer and have basic to advanced keyboarding skills.
