About the position:

The ERP / HCM Application and Strategy Release Lead will provide oversight and strategic direction to allocated project team members to ensure quality and timely facilitation of releases. He/she will partner with global stakeholders within IT, Finance and Human Resources to create a strategic product roadmap, prioritize an implementation backlog, and manage quarterly system releases.

Job Description:

Seeking a candidate who can develop solutions to unique issues that may impact future releases and can lead a department as a “hands-on” tactical and strategic leader. This leader will consider organizational impacts of releases and ensure appropriate change management resources are included to mitigate or support changeCreates strategic product release and project roadmap; creates or oversees creation of detailed release plans; manages or oversees management of release activity to ensure functionality roll outs and associated testing is completed on schedule and with high qualityRecommends the nature and scope of present and future releases by reviewing product release notes; capturing priorities from business liaisons, preparing return-on-investment analyses; and establishing time schedules with IT, business systems teams, and business SMEsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Conducts research into upcoming product features and enhancements and proposes adoption to achieve efficiencies or improve ROICollaborates with business teams to establish appropriate KPIs to ensure ROI and benefits realization; Oversees periodic KPI calculations and reviews opportunities for improvement in established metricsManages support team budget and product licensing costs; tracks actuals to budget and mitigates overspendIdentifies or captures risks related to support operations, releases, or roadmap and escalates them to the product leadership team and executive oversight committee as neededProvides input during outages and recovery events to ensure proper execution following SOPs/WPDs #GD*LI-NA1

Education and Experience:

Bachelors’ degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualifications

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 12 years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience.

5 years of management responsibility

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent understanding of SaaS release life cycles and technical project executionExcellent business skills: documentation, presentation, interpersonal, and communicationExcellent strategic problem solving and analytical skillsExcellent working knowledge of internal systems and business processes to support data-driven decision-makingAbility to understand, present and analyze data in multiple formats for consumption by end usersProven computer skills, including with MS Office and other applications as requiredExcellent financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and resource managementEffective and credible leadership style with a proven ability to mobilize, inspire productivity, and lead in a multi-disciplinary team setting with a strong emphasis on collaboration across functional groupsStrong oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writingKeen attention to detail, with the ability to think creatively

Management Role:Directs through lower management levels. Has responsibility for managing a function that includes multiple related departments. In some instances may be responsible for a functional area (as determined by executive management) and not have subordinate supervisors or employees. May manage employees in a matrixed environment and/or across multiple regions.PPD values the health and well being of our employees.
