Role Description:

We are currently offering competitive compensation package including shift differential and a sign on bonus. As the Medical Technologist you will work independently and without technical supervision to perform low, moderate, and high complexity clinical laboratory testing as a generalist, with assignment in some or all of the following disciplines: urinalysis, coagulation, hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, and immunology. The Med Tech also troubleshoots laboratory equipment and methods and provides technical supervision of others as required.

Responsibilities: Perform clinical laboratory testing on samples according to established laboratory procedures, and verify/report test results as requested by study protocol.Ensures quality laboratory results and prioritizes work to optimize timely result reporting.Accurately perform quality control/assurance and proficiency testing as neededMaintain complex laboratory equipment and correctly interpret assay validity as a CLIA qualified clinical laboratory testing professional

Perform and record instrument and test preventive maintenance, calibration, reagent, troubleshooting and other procedures required to establish, maintain, or monitor test performancePerform, monitor and record disinfection and maintenance of general laboratory equipment and areas

Technically monitor and supervise medical laboratory technicians and students. This includes participation in the laboratory competency assessment program Company Description

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or four-years of college plus Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA) or equivalent certificationAbility to advise clinic staff in the proper techniques of specimen collection and submission

Ability to evaluate new test systems and equipment for use in the laboratory

Instrument preventive maintenance and troubleshooting skills

Ability to perform assays in additional clinical and research applications

Knowledge of the basic theories and techniques of clinical laboratory testing in urinalysis, coagulation, hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, and immunology

Basic knowledge of human anatomy and physiology

Knowledge of laboratory principles and techniques of problem-solving

Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

Leadership skills

Communication skills (oral and written)Record-keeping skills

Must be able to modify work schedule to meet clinic needs Working Environment
