This is an exciting opportunity to join IQVIA's Supplier Services team as a Data Analyst. This 12-month internship is suitable for a Computer Sciences/Data Sciences or STEM graduate; however, we are open to applications from other disciplines.

The Supplier Services create true interdependent partnerships, securing long term access to quality healthcare data by embedding unique solutions, services and people. The Supplier Services team focus on:

• Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with existing and potential data suppliers.
• Securing data supply to IQVIA by negotiating contracts to secure stable, long term data supply.
• Creating an interdependency between the data supplier and IQVIA through the provision of market insights and feedback services.
• Working with suppliers to ensure continuity of data supply, liaising with operational and development teams both within IQVIA but also within data suppliers’ organisations
• Maintain and curate IQVIA database & assets
• Working in cross-functional project teams to secure, onboard and utilize new data sources or new fields within current supply to improve quality

INTERNSHIP POSITION PURPOSE

• To support data queries from both onshore in London and in our offshore hubs
• To explore and analyse large datasets, drawing insight and value to complex business issues
• To design, develop, test and implement new tools that lead to improved business performance
• To constantly be looking for ways to improve data quality
• To run exploratory and hypothesis driven analysis to answer specific business questions or unlock additional value from our current datasets
• To think creatively to generate new solutions and make improvements to current processes
• To obtain and utilise expertise relating to relevant IQVIA data, software and systems in the testing of new offerings and developments using data mining techniques
• To be the source of knowledge for what data is held where, how data is structured and how data is moved between systems
• Support in the journey as IQVIA UK moves to big data technologies
• To help drive automation of client reports and associated QC checks

Person Specification

• STEM, Data Analytics or Computer Sciences graduate ideally; however we are open to applications from other disciplines as well
• Highly proficient in SQL/coding
• Experience maintaining and analyzing large data sets
• Excellent IT literacy; Advanced Excel ability essential
• Proven analytical and numerical reasoning ability
