Associate Director, Publishing Systems

The Associate Director, Publishing Systems is responsible for the oversight and management of all electronic publishing systems and peripheral components which support those systems. This individual assists with the development and maintenance of procedural and operational documentation related to Parexel Regulatory Outsourcing Services systems and activities. He/she works with the management team and the company’s IT personnel to ensure that Parexel Regulatory Outsourcing Services has an efficient systems, technology, and infrastructure which will enable it to meet strategic objectives. This individual will also provide leadership for the Parexel Regulatory Outsourcing Services Technical Support group which manages and supports systems utilized by external customers and internal employees for the creation, delivery, and review of regulatory applications.

Key Accountabilities

Undertake the full range of duties relevant to the leadership, management and development of the team to ensure their performance meets and or exceeds both the business and their own personal goals/objectives

Participate in formal staff review processes e.g. performance and salary reviews to corporate standards and timescales.

Provide advanced paper and electronic publishing troubleshooting as needed to support publishing activities and facilitate software bug troubleshooting with software technical support for the Parexel LIQUENT InSight products.

Maintain familiarity with current and future global regulatory submission standards. Understand departmental interpretations and best practices.

Manage document management tasks including file transfer, storage, tracking, and archival.

Ensure that individuals are trained and comply with all corporate and departmental standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Manage system validation activities

QualificationsBachelors degree in technology or life sciences-related discipline.

10+ years' experience in an industry-related environment publishing focused role.
