In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking a Project Manager 3for our Insourcing Solutions site located in Bethesda, MD.

The following are responsibilities related to the Project Manager 3

•Provides management oversight and support to employees.

•Manages assigned staff to ensure maintenance of all aquatic support equipment.

•Oversees and/or schedules the maintenance of the facility and all equipment.

•Oversees preventative maintenance contracts for Siemens Monitoring System, RO PMs, Pump PMs, VFD PMs, and the SZF Life Support System PM. Participate in contract negotiations during annual re-bids.

•Leads troubleshooting of aquatic support equipment, monitoring software, and facility infrastructure. Approves action on cause and remedy.

•Leads operational development and advancement efforts which improve animal welfare and staff efficiency by finding/creating devices or modifying/improving techniques.

•Participates in Facility Design and Construction Meetings as an Aquatic Facility and Husbandry Subject Matter Expert. Reviews and Approves Office of Research Facilities Design Submissions and construction contract modification for NICHD and their IAAs.

•Actively interacts with Project Officers, facility veterinarian(s) and investigators as required to respond to their requests, solve customer requests, inquiries, and complaint.

•Develops Level of Efforts for NICHD’s and their Interagency Agreement Institutes’ facilities based on the technical and husbandry needs of both the facility and research staff. Develop and maintain staffing schedules to meet each facilities LOE for hours and Billing Labor Categories.

•Ensures new facility constraints or new request from the Project Officer, veterinarians, research staff, etc. are accounted for by additions to the contract’s Level of Effort. Works with the Project Officer to synchronize onboarding additional staffing in 1FTE increments before excessive burdens are placed on the staff.

•Drafts Specifications of Task Order Modification language for Project Officer and their Interagency Agreement Institutes, to facilitate Task Order Modifications.

•Generates Level of Efforts and Response Letters for the Government’s Request for Contract Modifications.

•Monitors performance of employees and conducts periodic performance evaluations. Investigates personnel problems and develops performance improvement plans, provides counseling and disciplinary actions to employees in accordance with company policies and procedures. Writes employee performance evaluations.

•Oversees training and continuing education of the staff to achieve AALAS certification.

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Project Manager 3position:

Education: BS in Biological Science or related Science required.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in a large scope aquatics facility to include staff and project management responsibility.

Certification/Licensure: AALAS Certification at the LATG level required
