The Senior RFI Specialist reviews and edits internally-submitted text to generate responses to client requests for proposals (RFPs), describing value-added differentiators and creating documents that accurately and consistently position PPD’s services, products and expertise as the optimal choice for project award. Leads effort by determining the optimum application of charts, graphs and diagrams to best communicate complex text in simple visuals and the management of a graphics agency or team in the production of such; taking ownership of and responsibility for final deliverables, and guiding and influencing contributors where appropriate. May lead opportunity response activities in the absence of a designated lead, as needed.

Essential FunctionsCreates documents and prepares responses to RFIs and RFPs from clients utilizing appropriate tools and subject matter experts to obtain data, text, and information.Evaluates and edits information and final proposal to determine that response meets client's request and follows up with contributors to close any gaps.Assists designated lead as defined by opportunity (i.e. competitive landscape searches, slide creation, org chart creation).Analyzes documents created within or outside of PPD in order to ensure a quality standard and ensure compliance with best practices.Reviews and edits, as appropriate, operational, BD, C&PD input to PPD proposals, to create documents that position PPD to clients as the top choice for award, streamlining text to ensure an overall message and positioning.Liaises with subject matter experts to establish project-specific (therapeutic, client, system etc.) context for positioning PPD’s proposal to client’s needs.Develops library text that can be used for proposal and RFI responses.Provides at least level 1 technical support of PPD systems, software and text automation used for proposal text development.Trains, coaches, and mentors other Proposal Text Analysts.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificationPrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5 years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
