We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst II or Senior Business Systems Analyst to work out of our Wilmington, NC office or our RTP office in Morrisville, NC.

Working with supervision, this position will provide application management, support, troubleshooting, and analysis for systems while ensuring PPD’s computer systems life cycle management procedures are followed.

The position coordinates with Cloud vendors and other support staff, as well as clinical project teams. Other duties include gathering user requirements, designing the functional specifications for systems and reports, and various administrative and documentation duties.

Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 3-5 years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

Experience working in a software environment with direct experience managing cloud applications and providing production support (end-user support tickets, etc)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated experience working with cloud vendors.

Demonstrated experience managing and/or supporting cloud applications (release management, configuration management, etc).

Firm understanding of system development life cycle/methodologies.

Firm understanding of requirements methodology/types such as Business, User, Functional, and non-Functional.

Strong understanding of relational database concepts; ability to interact with Relational Databases at an intermediate level.

Demonstrated proficiency in office productivity applications (such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel).

Familiarity with data manipulation or presentation tools (such as SQL, report writing packages or MS Access).

Good understanding of the clinical research process flow and drug development processes.

Ability to effectively manage projects, budgets and timelines.

Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities.

Knowledge of eTMF or CTMS systems (Veeva Vault) is a plus.

Client focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.

Must be able to multi task and pay close attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
