In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary Perform the routine technical activities and follow the directives from the study plan. We are currently looking for a Necropsy Technician for our Safety Assessment site located in Senneville, QC.

Responsibilities: Animal manipulation, euthanasia and anesthesia (all species) Collection of biological liquids (blood, bone marrow smear, urine or others) Degreasing and organ weights, prosection, cesarian Use of Provantis system for data collection Special techniques (MRA, perfusion, lungs lavage etc.) Special tasks such as equipment maintenance, training etc Ensure the integrity of the studies and fulfill the regulatory agencies requirements by performing the activities according to the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) rules. Identify problems or potential problems and assist the appropriate personnel in establishing and implementing the appropriate solutions Show flexibility in regard to the nature of the work to respond tot the needs of his/her group and all other groups within the division Lift, carry or move objects or animals weighing up to 40 lbs Handle non anesthetised live animals Communicate with colleagues in the sometimes noisy laboratories Perform all other related duties as assigned

The following are the minimum requirements for the Necropsy Technician position. Possesses a DEC in Animal Health or equivalent Is meticulous and patient Is available (flexible hours) and available to work weekends An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above

Number of hours per week: A minimum of 37.5 hours
