Job Description:
The Scrum master / agile delivery lead position is a client-facing cornerstone of our information management projects. The scrum master will work independently to initiate, plan, execute, control, and close a data management project using formal project management techniques. The scrum master must have excellent project management skills as they schedule and facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and sizing. They will manage the project's scope and the resource plan.
Responsibilities:
• Manages projects day-day-to activities including scope, schedule, risks, issues, change control and acceptance processes
• Develops project plans (agile, waterfall, hybrid) to effectively schedule work within time and resource constraints
• Conducts weekly updates of the project's detailed plan and budget
• Develops and executes an effective communication plan to achieve team awareness of dependent activities
• Assigns tasks to resources as per the project plan
• Captures, documents and facilitates review of functional requirements
• Ensures all project artifacts including requirements, business rules, data quality rules and technical aspects of architecture definition (solution design and analysis work) are documented and retrievable per enterprise standards.
• Leads coordination of workshops including scheduling, preparation of materials, recording of decisions and action items.
• Mentors team member performance by providing effective coaching and conducting mitigations when necessary to address underperformance
• Reviews current/proposed technical strategies and design approaches for their impact on schedule, functional deliverables and capability of solution to satisfy requirements
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of project management on enterprise software implementations in a healthcare payer setting
• 5+ years of industry experience involved in all stages of software solution development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both onsite and virtual team settings
• A solid understanding of information management tools for data management and analytics
• Should have proven experience in leading the implementation of at least one data warehousing or business intelligence project from initiation to deployment
• Experience facilitating workshops to define a customer's functional business requirements and document solution requirements
• Ability to translate functional requirements into a cohesive, sequenced project plan
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM project management techniques
• Familiarity with data profiling
• Basic SQL knowledge to effectively manage team member performance of data analysis, data profiling and software testing activities
• Familiarity with concepts of software testing including test planning, test scenarios, test script development and generation of the testability matrix
Optional Qualifications:
• 3+ years in healthcare IT or operations to understand the definition and relationships between healthcare data sets
