Operations Analyst 1

Sales Admin Analyst 
Location: Bangalore

The Commercial Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Northern Europe business in all areas of opportunity management and operations.  They will provide support to the commercial and finance teams in ensuring opportunities are setup and processed correctly in order that revenue recognition and billing happen on time and according to company guidelines.  

Principal Accountabilities:

•    Responds to requests from the business to process billing notification forms once a customer contract has been won by the commercial team. Ensures all paperwork and sign-off documents have been complete and meet company requirements. 

•    Manages setup of new projects in the IQVIA project management system & liaises with the project managers to ensure projects are administered correctly.

•    Provides financial reporting to the commercial operations and commercial team.

•    Develops a strong understanding of internal and external revenue recognition rules to ensure revenue against customer contracts is in compliance with US GAAP and internal guidelines.

•    Builds strong relationships with the sales, offering and finance teams to ensure queries are efficiently addressed meaning no delay to business operations.

•    Challenges the current ways of working and provides alternative solutions to improve quality and efficiency of processes. 

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in analytical subject and experience in an analytical role. Must be IT literate, with experience of financial reporting or accounting packages, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Additional Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills. Works well under pressure. Highly analytical with an ability to design, plan and implement process improvements. Ability to carry out detailed analysis and information gathering to resolve problems on non-routine matters.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  Must be flexible and an effective team player with the ability to multi-task.
