Role Summary

Apply expertise to identify, organize, and establish effective management of collaborative initiatives through project identification, set-up, financial tracking, reporting, and execution impacting the operational and financial success of Excellence Network Optimization.

Ensure Delivery optimization, Operational Effectiveness and Organizational deep dive initiatives maximize IQVIA’s return on investment and is in accordance with SOPs, policies, and practices.

You will manage medium to large scale programs and assume responsibility and ownership of projects, programs and business challenges developing establishment as a subject matter expert ensuring high quality, timely, on budget deliverables in accordance with business operations strategic direction and targets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Direct project analysis, planning, strategy, and implementation, including determination and establishment of objectives for assigned project(s); establishment of work plan and timeline for successful implementation; conduct research and prompt discussions regarding project specifications and adjustments
  • Manage, monitor, and report on multiple high priority activities to Business Operations and Executive Management
  • Drive change, challenge the status quo and work towards the creation of impact in every of the projects and actions overtaken
  • Work closely with other Business Operations, Global and Regional staff in multidisciplinary initiatives.  Actively participate in discussions to determine project scope, timelines, and feasibility for assigned project(s).
  • Ensure successful collaboration of internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate across region/function/Business Unit to ensure continuum of processes
  • Serve as primary contact while leading assigned project problem solving and resolution efforts
  • Record and document project activities. Produce, distribute, and present report/presentation materials to Business Operations and Business Unit management team
  • Resolve and escalate issues in a professional and timely fashion.
  • Drive ongoing analysis and evaluation of existing processes with the objective of providing continuous improvements
  • Ensures all activities are performed within budget and look for opportunities for cost reduction

Experience Required:

The ideal candidate should have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in in business, life sciences or related field required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Significant experience in relevant function (e.g. clinical operations, applied math, IT, data management, business, or laboratory), including a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience (CRO/pharmaceutical) including project management experience
  • Experience in Business Operations, Organizational effectiveness and Operational effectiveness
  • Experience in working on positions with demand to achieve dollar and none dollar goals on time and as per business case
  • Experience in working with all levels within the organization up to and including Executive Management
  • Experience in analyzing large data sets to provide management insights addressing business challenges and driving EBITDA targets

Skills and Abilities required:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other data capture, compilation, and presentation tools
  • Good understanding of BO Organizational deep dive and other Lean Methodologies
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing, problem resolution, motivation, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and time metrics
  • Excellent leadership and customer service skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, operations staff, clients, and executive management members
  • Excellent business and industry awareness staying current on trends and impact on the business
  • Excellent presentation skills meeting the needs of all levels within the organization up to and including the executive management team
  • Strong project leadership, staff management, and/or project planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail/quality control skills while driving initiatives to closure
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead without Authority
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply relevant and evolving subject matter expertise illustrating mastered understanding of process / data analysis techniques and methodologies
  • Ability to successfully and quickly grasp, understand and apply various analysis techniques and methodologies
  • Ability to innovatively solve problems with demonstrated success delivering desired results according to quality guidelines and timelines
  • Ability to communicate vision of business operations and be an ambassador to the broader IQVIA
  • Be able to adapt to project needs and shift priorities regularly
  • Capacity to understand new technology solutions based on AI/ML and usage of BOTs

Preferred experience:  

  • Strategic Consulting Experience
  • Experience in using Lean Sigma in working environment
  • Experience using emotional intelligence in working environment
